(1) Ortho-k users have to continue to wear ortho-k lenses for as long as they wish to have clear vision without spectacles or contact lenses during the day. Once ortho-k lens wear is stopped, the myopia will gradually return and the user will have to wear spectacles or contact lenses to correct the myopia.

(2) If the purpose of ortho-k is for myopic control, the treatment may be stopped after the age of 14 or 15 as myopia tends to stop progressing after the age of 14 for most children.
